Manufacturer Provided Description

SeaScout Yachts are built using cold-molding technique, combining the elegance of mahagony with the low-maintenance characteristics of fiberglass. Multiple layers of high-quality mahagony planking are saturated with epoxy resin to build a hull without heavy frames. The light-weight hull is then covered with epoxied fiberglass plys to add strength to the structure and to create a non-corrosive, blister-free surface of high-quality, custom-shaped marine plywood. Cold-molding is proven to be the longest lasting and most maintainable technique used to construct high-performance boats.

Cold-molding gives SeaScout boats a great strength-weight ratio and enables them to work with the waves, not against them.
